Updated: Jun 7, 2019

May 28th, 2019. 9:00pm. 63 degrees.

The water level is up, and this is good news. The water level of White Bear Lake was at its all-time lowest in 2013 but, thanks to several years of high rainfall, the lake has come up about six feet. With the water back up, it feels peaceful and rejuvenating to be here this evening.

I love this time of year. Everything feels so alive and vibrant.

The days are long and at 9pm the sky is awash in pinks and purples. At 63 degrees, I am comfortable in a light jacket and enjoy my mosey along the beach. The water temperature is reportedly about 59 degrees this time of year so I have no plans to jump in!

Come visit!

If you haven't been to #whitebearlake, I definitely recommend that you stop here for a visit. Be sure to check out the walking/bike path that follows Lake Avenue. You will discover lovely views of the lake, including Matoska Park (pictured above.)
