July 7, 2019.

5:00 pm, 84 degrees. I was enjoying exploring the woods at Tamarack Nature Center and would have stayed longer to admire these Ostrich ferns (commonly known as fiddle heads), but the swarms of mosquitoes and biting insects made me cut my visit short. Today was the first day since I began the Outdoors365 blog that I was really bothered by bugs. It is common to encounter such pests in Minnesota summers so I wasn't really surprised. Next time maybe I will try some bug spray.
