A serene scene here at the pond this evening with ducks looking almost like painted silhouettes on the water. I think it's always fun to watch ducks. I recently learned that when you hear a duck quacking, it is a female mallard. Although people associate quacking with all ducks, interestingly it is only the female mallard that makes this sound!
