Day 83: Duck Potato?

Today I discovered these cute wildflowers and did some research to find out what they might be. They are broad leaved arrowheads, also called duck potato. In Minnesota there are six species of sagittaria flowers, and the broad leaved arrowheads are the most common. They are found throughout the state and bloom in July and August. They have edible tubers for wildlife to eat, thus the nickname duck potato. I don't know if they really taste like potatoes to ducks, but they do look lovely when in bloom.
