Day 82: Do Trees Tell Their Secrets?

3:30 pm, 81 degrees and sunny.

Turn your listening ears on for this one! When wind blows it creates a friction between the air and the leaves and branches. This makes the whooshing sound you hear. It can be spooky when howling or whistling sounds occur. Of course, the trees and branches also rub together in the wind, and this creates more sound. To me it sounds kind of like whispering, as though the trees are whispering the secrets of the forest. Take a listen, what do you hear? In the Disney movie Pocahontas, she asks, "Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?" Does the wind have colors? To me, this wind feels like kind of a silvery color. What colors do you hear?
