Descend into the world's biggest and deepest pothole and you will find that the air becomes cooler and more damp. It's quiet down here, but if you yell, you will discover that your voice echoes around the smooth rock walls. You look at those walls and you are grateful that there is a staircase that will allow you an easy exit back to the world above.

The pothole trail is just one of many amazing experiences found at Interstate Park. The park is about an hour's drive from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and it is well worth the trip.

Visit the park and you will learn about how the potholes were formed by swirling water thousands of years ago. Hiking in the park is magnificent and you will surely love the panoramic views of the St. Croix River.
